Context
Most architecture practices in Bali show their work as a feed on Instagram, and their websites say little more. We invented Studio Tanah to see what a site for a serious local practice could look like if it read like a monograph.
The challenge
Speak to homeowners, villa investors and hospitality brands at once, without turning the site into a sales brochure.
Approach
Each project is set out like a plate in a book: a number, a place, a year, and the facts an architect asks for first, from site and built area to materials. The index of works reads as a list or a grid and filters by type. A separate Developments section gives investors unit types, sizes and build status in plain tables, with enquiries going straight to WhatsApp. The studio page explains the four materials the practice works with and who works them. Three Instagram carousels and a reel carry the same plate numbering onto the feed.

Exploration

On Instagram
A 21 second reel of the studio’s four steps, from reading the land to returning after the first rains, set in the same type as the website.
Outcome
A working site with eight projects, a studio page, an investor section and contact, live at studio-tanah.vercel.app. Photography in the concept is from Unsplash.
